Wednesday July 22nd 2pm - 3.30pm.
Butterflies at The Wild Gardens, Roath Park.
Come and join us as we wander around the Wild Gardens searching for butterflies. This small piece of damp mixed woodland is home to a variety of different butterflies. No previous experience is needed, just an interest in learning about the range of butterflies and day flying moths that live around us or in brushing up your ID skills.
The stroll is also an opportunity to celebrate the work completed by members of the Cardiff Group of WTSWW, the Cardiff Youth Forum and others like the Cardiff Rivers Group and those who have volunteered to successfully tackle what was the overwhelming Himalayan Balsam. In its place we now see stands of Loosestrife and Meadow Sweet.
We will be following paths around the wood but in wet weather these can get muddy in places
Meet by the bridge on Wild Gardens Road, Roath Park. (What3Words: ///name.seat.idea).
