Tackling Invasive Species in the Wild Gardens, Roath Park
Working with the Park Rangers for Roath Park, we have made a major impact on the spread of Himalayan balsam and cherry laurel in the Wild Gardens. Over time this should increase the range of plants growing there and enhance biodiversity in the wood. We are therefore holding a working party on 14th November at which we will be removing more of the cherry laurel and also having a bit of a tidy-up and litter pick. This is a real opportunity to make a difference for nature and the more people who can join us the greater success we will have. The session will run from 10.30 to 12 noon. Meet at the bridge on Wild Gardens Rd. Stout footwear and ‘gardening clothes’ are advised, all necessary tools will be provided.
This event will be rescheduled to a later date.
