Cardiff Birdwatch
We will be joining the Cardiff Naturalists for their annual Cardiff Birdwatch led by Rob & Linda Nottage. Meet at the Channel View Leisure Centre, by the small car park at the water's edge, at 10am. (The Leisure Centre is on Jim Driscoll Way off Avondale Road, Postcode: CF11 7HB, what3words: clocks.codes.jets).
We’ll have a leisurely, sociable stroll around to Hamadryad Park and the Cardiff Bay Wetland Reserve. Returning to base and, depending on the weather, after a lunch break we may move on to Penarth and further exploration of the R.Ely, outer Bay and barrage area.
There will be plenty of waterfowl to check over, and if we’re lucky perhaps some unusual species brought in by wintry conditions. You can tag along all day as we visit different sites, or leave at any stage of the proceedings. Bring a packed lunch if you want to stay until the afternoon. Lifts will be available if you haven't got a car.
Non-members are welcome to come to any of our meetings.
